LibreOffice practically means “free” office. With the release of LibreOffice Portable, brings you the freedom of an office in a portable app. Put it on the storage medium of your choice, be it a USB flash drive, some other solid state drive or something else. LibreOffice has a word processor, a spreadsheet, drawing package, database and presentation tool. Plans are in place for this portable app to be the default office suite in upcoming versions of Linux. However, it doesn’t matter what format your files are in, LibreOffice can import and export documents from other formats such as Microsoft Word. While the reviews are generally positive, experts are upset that the spreadsheet doesn’t include all Excel functions.
