1,000,000 Yen, €7400, $10,000. No matter how you slice it, this cube-shaped luxury USB flash drive is going to set you back a whole heap of money. The Japanese company SolidAlliance created the Mnemosyne 16GB USB Cube. It was crafted by Italian designers Toshi Satoji and Katsuya Masaki. If you’re into the craze of designer technology, this toy is definitely top of the line.

The cube is actually a puzzle; it needs to be opened up piece by piece to get to the key. The name “Mnemosyne” actually comes from Greek mythology and means goddess of memory. Most 16GB USB flash drives are priced from $30 to $80. This is a little out of the typical price range I’d say. You’d think it was made of gold or something. Nope, alluminum. So what’s all the hype about? Not too sure honestly.
