USB 3.0 and new hardware

Active Media Products is making headlines with its new Aviator-2 External USB 3.0 SSD.  This drive operates transfers at 10x times to USB 2.0 – 4.8 Gbits per second. And also making them effortlessly portable, they are merely 3″ x 5″.

The Aviator-2 can be purchased as an empty case for $34.95, while the 64GB version will cost $259.95 and the 128GB will be priced at $449.95.

According to Jerry Thomson, vice president of sales at Active Media Products, “These products effectively render external USB 2.0 hard drives obsolete since for a few dollars more you can plug a 2.5-inch hard drive into the Aviator-2 case and get up to 200% faster performance. Or the Aviator-2 bundled with our Predator SSD inside will blow away any hard drive with speeds above 150MB/sec”. Aviator-2 SSDs are available now through Amazon. Active Media Products also offers Atomix USB 3.0 PCIe and Express Card adapters to easily upgrade any desktop or laptop to USB 3.0.

  2. There are a lot of people who do not pay any attention to RAM when they buy their laptops. They may be ignorant or perhaps plain negligent on this. But when the laptop works slowly or perhaps conks off in the middle of important tasks, they wonder as to what happened suddenly.
