There’s a reason we love the people at Think Geek. Well there are numerous reasons but one of the better thoughts from them is a fake USB cable for practical jokers everywhere. Of course, we would never support any idea, USB or otherwise, if it has the potential to cause damage. But this one seems fairly harmless. It’s a stick-on USB cable that isn’t a flash drive but can pretend to be one. Simply stick the cable on to an item and pretend it’s a USB flash drive. Give it to your co-workers or clueless folk everywhere and ask them to download data from it. We don’t recommend this if you’re dealing with a truly um, sticky situation but a little USB fun can brighten someone’s day. Meanwhile, we recently noted a post aimed at those who do not know how to copy files from their desktop to a USB drive. As a purveyor of all things USB, we considered reposting that information here. But then we thought, surely, if you have these types of issues, you would call, write or Facebook us – right?
